Brooke and Audrey doing great. Michael holding up well. They'll get to go home tomorrow or Thursday. It's been a very blessed last few days in their lives.
I remember the overwhelming feelings of new parenthood. Everything comes together eventually, but maybe not without a few hiccups. Once the sleep-deprivation starts WATCH OUT! My advice to the new parents. If you're still in the hospital...send Audrey to the nursery as often as possible so YOU CAN GET AS MUCH REST AS YOU CAN BEFORE LEAVING THE HOSPITAL. And two more words of encouragement Nipple Shield for that hard to latch on breast-feeding baby. You'll thank me later Brooke. Just enjoy this miracle. What a fabulous little present you've been blessed with this Christmas. Can she fit in a stocking? That would be a cute birth announcement picture...aren't I just SO original. Wink.
I'm a very blessed guy with the greatest wife, children, and grandkids in the world. I taught middle school in DISD for 36 years and retired in May of 2006. Now I drive a school bus to punish myself for teaching 36 years in DISD. I have a huge interest in aviation photography. Most of the pictures you see on this blog are from very talented photographers; the others are mine.
