Tim, You are in our thoughts and prayers. I know that you are glad that your mom did not have to suffer long and that she is at home with our Lord, but at the same time it is hard to say even a temporary goodbye to those we love. May the Lord keep His promise to be your God of all comfort and give you His peace which passes all understanding.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I heard once that Christians were the first ones to put the date of death on tombstones, as that date was, just like the date of birth, a celebration. As you eluded to in your post, she is in a better place. Out thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Thanks so much to each of you for your wonderful comments. It means so much. We are so relieved her suffering is over and she's up there experiencing glory!
I'm a very blessed guy with the greatest wife, children, and grandkids in the world. I taught middle school in DISD for 36 years and retired in May of 2006. Now I drive a school bus to punish myself for teaching 36 years in DISD. I have a huge interest in aviation photography. Most of the pictures you see on this blog are from very talented photographers; the others are mine.
